Schiphol Airport
Leave arrivals and take an escalator down to the railway station. Take a regional train heading towards Amsterdam Centraal Station (around 20 minutes train ride from the airport). Leave the train at Centraal Station and head towards the heart of the city. As you leave the station, art’otel Amsterdam is directly in front of you.

Hotel parking
Specially for our hotel guests we offer valet parking at €50 per 24 hours. If you wish to use this service, we kindly request that you book 30 minutes in advance. Public parking

art’otel Amsterdam is ideally located just across from Amsterdam Central Station, making it easy to explore the city and beyond.
Tram lines 2, 12, and 13 stop nearby at Dam Square, just a 7-minute walk from the hotel. These lines connect you to popular destinations like the Museum Quarter, Leidseplein, and Westerpark, and also return to Central Station for a smooth trip back to the hotel. Trams run daily from early morning until midnight.
Metro Line 52, also known as the North–South line, departs from Central Station and offers fast access across the city. You can head north to the A’DAM Tower or south to the Heineken Experience and the lively De Pijp district, all in just minutes.
Ticket Options
- Contactless Payment with OVpay: Tap your credit or debit card when boarding and exiting. Fares typically range from €1.00 to €2.00 per ride. Each passenger must use their own card.
- GVB Day Tickets: These can be purchased from tram conductors or in advance online at ovshop.nl. . Prices are €9.50 for adults and €5.00 for children between the ages of 4 and 11. Tickets offer unlimited travel on GVB trams, buses, and metros for the entire day.
