Exhibition: A Conversation Between Trees
A digital art show by Dan Hoopert
A Conversation Between Trees invites viewers into an immersive exploration of the subtle exchanges that occur within forest ecosystems. Drawing on 3D scan data captured in Epping Forest, the work translates the hidden communication networks of trees and plant life into a dynamic world of light and sound.
Abstract forms, generated from the scan information, shift and evolve in response to time, temperature, light, and environmental change. The same data points also drive a series of synthesisers and sound engines, allowing the forest itself to shape the auditory landscape.
The result is a meditative encounter where image and sound merge — offering a glimpse into the complex, often unseen systems that sustain the natural world.
