Print and Pattern workshop with Vivien Reinert
Introduction to Mono and Lino printing for Textiles
Get ready to get messy and creative with printmaking techniques on textiles – it’s going to be a colourful and fun experience!
This workshop offers a playful, accessible introduction to two versatile printmaking techniques: mono-printing and lino-printing. Using tools such as wax paper, hand-cut lino shapes, stencils and drawn marks, we will explore how repetition, layering and composition can transform different mark-makings into a personal visual language.
You may arrive with a theme, memory or objects in mind – or simply come curious and open to experimentation. Guided by my textile and surface design practice, you are encouraged to explore scale, texture, colour and placement, discovering how patterns emerge intuitively rather than through perfection.
The session concludes with printing onto a reusable tote bags, t-shirts and paper, creating a functional artwork to take home and wear around proudly.
