Slow Ways: Our Common Ground
London Craft Week Exhibition
Slow Ways: Our Common Ground is arriving at art’otel London Hoxton this May—bringing a vivid celebration of Britain’s handmade soul to the heart of the city. Curated by Freddie Armstrong and Joe De Ferranti, the exhibition springs from their extraordinary 1,300‑mile walk across the length of Britain, where they encountered remarkable makers keeping centuries-old craft alive in fresh, contemporary ways.
Expect a vibrant mix of tanning, turning, weaving, printing, engraving and stitching—works that hum with the spirit of the handmade and the people who keep these traditions beating. Alongside pieces from makers they met on the road, the show also welcomes outstanding alumni from QEST and Heritage Crafts.
The journey supported two brilliant organisations championing creativity and preservation: QEST, empowering makers to push their skills further, and Heritage Crafts, working to protect endangered practices from disappearing altogether.
UK craft is a living, breathing part of our heritage—and it deserves to thrive.
We can’t wait to welcome you!
