A commitment to sustainable hospitality
WHAT IS GREEN KEY?
Green Key is an international certification managed by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). It guarantees that a property meets high environmental standards, verified through independent audits based on over 100 criteria: resource management, reduction of consumption, staff training, guest involvement, technical standards, and protection of the local environment.
Since its creation in 1994, Green Key has set one of the most comprehensive sustainability frameworks for hotels, restaurants, conference centres, attractions, campsites and small accommodations. As of 2025, over 7,500 establishments across more than 80 countries proudly display the Green Key logo, demonstrating their commitment to responsible tourism and environmental protection.
