Katya Bryskina is an artist and a speculative architect whose work explores future food systems, geoengineering, and living structures.
Katya explores natural intelligence, interconnectivity, and our evolving relationship with the world in a time marked by climate instability and rapid technological change. Through her concepts, spaces, installations, and objects, she creates physical and digital artefacts that offer glimpses into possible futures and otherworldly scenarios.
She is continuously involved in academia as an invited speaker, guest lecturer, and juror. Katya spoke at Climate Matters Week School in 2023 at the Architectural Association. She has also taught at various institutions, including UCL Bartlett, AA school, Digital Futures, and Strelka Institute.
One of the latest projects, Future Protein, is focused on mussel farms as a part of our future food system STARTS Hungry Ecocities Residency 2023-2024, with a demonstration event at Studio Other Spaces and Olafur Eliason studio in Berlin, Germany.
