Hospitality that respects the place it inhabits.
Overlooking Piazza Sallustio, in the vibrant heart of the city, art’otel Rome, blends contemporary aesthetics, impactful art, and an instinctive attention to the world around us.
But for us, true style is complete only when it goes hand in hand with responsibility. This principle guides every decision we make: offering an immersive, experience while honouring what makes Rome unique.
The Green Key certification is the recognition of this commitment: not just a label, but a pathway of daily choices, independent verifications, and full transparency with our guests.
A Lighter Footprint
All interior areas are completely non‑smoking; lighting is fully LED and designed to highlight artworks and design pieces while reducing energy consumption. Outside, an intelligent automation system adjusts lighting throughout the day:
- off during daylight hours
- softened in the evening
- dimmed at night
A way to respect the rhythm of the city and keep the night sky darker and quieter.
Technical systems, especially the HVAC system, are carefully monitored and maintained, ensuring clean air, thermal comfort, and controlled energy use.
Water, Used Wisely
Every room is equipped with water‑saving fixtures, and overall consumption is recorded regularly to prevent waste and act quickly when needed.
Through the ECO Project, guests can opt in for reduced housekeeping services and they are rewarded for it and in turn we raise money for live-saving projects in developing countries.
Circular Design
Reduce, reuse, recycle. Three simple actions that shape the way we choose materials, run our hotel, and work every day.
Waste is separated into dedicated streams and handled by certified operators; purchasing prioritises quality, longevity, and, whenever possible, local products.
All cleaning products follow strict environmental criteria: effective, safe, and certified.
A City to Experience Sustainably
Rome naturally invites you to slow down and move lightly.
We encourage our guests to choose more sustainable mobility options: walking routes, cycling itineraries, public transport, and practical tips available at Reception. You can even rent a bicycle at Reception to see Rome on two wheels.
Green spaces, from Villa Borghese to Villa Ada, become part of the journey: nature, art, and well‑being in one breath.
Transparency, Training, Community
Sustainability is also a work culture. We regularly train our team, collaborate with local partners, and communicate our actions clearly and authentically.
Green Key demands transparency, continuous improvement, and up‑to‑date practices. For us, it’s a natural path, embedded in every department and every person working with us.
An Invitation to Take Part in
During your stay, even small gestures can make a difference: reusing towels when possible, using water consciously, switching off an extra light.
Thank you for being part of our commitment.
