With art’otel Cologne as your base this Pride, you’ll be near the best events and soaking up the best the city has to offer.
A brief history of Cologne Pride
Cologne Pride, also known as Christopher Street Day (CSD), is a celebration and a statement. The name honours the LGBTQ+ rights movement that gained global visibility after the Stonewall uprising on Christopher Street in New York City, and the event in Cologne continues that spirit today through visibility, community and advocacy.
Today, Cologne Pride typically runs across multiple days and builds towards a final weekend of major public events. In 2026, the main Pride period is from 19 June to 5 July, with the CSD Street Party taking place from 3 to 5 July and the parade on 5 July. There’s a city-wide programme that has a mix of nightlife, culture, talks, memorial events and parties.
If you want the ultimate experience, plan to visit during the final weekend. It’s when the parties are at their best, the events are pumping and the crowds are loving every moment.
