Winter 2026 | January to February
At Home in the 17th Century at the Rijksmuseum, until 11 January 2026. Dollhouses, dioramas, and domestic scenes show everyday life in the Dutch Golden Age.
Sandra Mujinga: Skin to Skin at the Stedelijk Museum, until 11 January 2026. An immersive field of figures, sound, and green light exploring what it means to be seen.
Brancusi: The Birth of Modern Sculpture at H’ART Museum, until 18 January 2026. More than 30 sculptures with original pedestals plus photos and film.
FAILE: Between the Sheets at STRAAT Museum, until 18 January 2026. Street-born energy meets studio craft, with a new fabric-column work joining STRAAT’s collection.
Steve McQueen: Occupied City at the Rijksmuseum, until 25 January 2026. A 34-hour film spreads across the museum’s façade, and inside, watch screenings with added narration.
Tilda Swinton – Ongoing at the Eye Filmmuseum, until 8 February 2026. A collaboration‑led show with new and reworked pieces by Pedro Almodóvar, Luca Guadagnino, Joanna Hogg, Jim Jarmusch and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
Co Rentmeester: Witnessing life at Foam, until 11 February 2026. From Vietnam and Watts to the Jumpman image, see a wide‑ranging retrospective.
Yellow. Beyond Van Gogh’s Colour at the Van Gogh Museum, 13 February–17 May 2026. An energetic dive into yellow as a mood, symbol and magnet, anchored by Van Gogh.
Blommers & Schumm: Mid-Air at Foam, until 23 February 2026. Twenty‑five years of fashion‑forward images that play with balance, timing and perception.
Spring 2026 | March to May
Glass: Made in Antiquity at Allard Pierson, until 1 March 2026. Over 200 ancient glass objects, plus new research into how they were made.
Suit Yourself: 100 Years of Menswear, 1750–1850 at the Rijksmuseum, until 15 March 2026. Dutch menswear at its most flamboyant, from silk damask to macaroni flair.
KunstRAI at RAI Amsterdam, 22–26 April 2026. A fair with about 100 galleries, a sculpture square, talks, and Artist Night under one roof.
WRAPPED at art’otel Amsterdam, until 7 May 2026. A NOCKNOCK STUDIO exhibition that marks the year’s turning, celebrating reflection, togetherness, and the quiet beauty of change.
Amsterdam Art Week, 19–24 May 2026. Institutions and project spaces line up openings, tours and talks across the city.
Summer 2026 | June to August
IN SITU #2: Farida Sedoc – Social Capital at the Stedelijk Museum, until 2 July 2026. A monumental triptych in photography, textiles, and screen-printing on community and connection.
Rijksmuseum Gardens annual outdoor sculpture series, dates to be announced. The free outdoor exhibition typically returns mid‑year with a major sculptor and site works.
Autumn 2026 | September to November
Yayoi Kusama: Retrospective at the Stedelijk Museum, 11 September 2026–17 January 2027. Mirror rooms, polka dots, and seven decades of fearless art in a major autumn headline.
Hailun Ma at Foam, from 11 September 2026. See how fashion becomes a lens for social observation in Xinjiang, China.
PAN Amsterdam at RAI, 1–8 November 2026. The national art, antiques, and design fair returns with a mix across eras and mediums.
